The CAD, CAM, CAE, PLM, and 3D Modeling with CATIA course is a detailed and advanced program that covers essential aspects of modern product design, manufacturing, and analysis using CATIA. This course is designed for engineering professionals, designers, and students who want to master Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM), Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) while gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard tools.
The course begins with an introduction to CAD, CAM, CAE, and PLM concepts, followed by hands-on practice with CATIA’s Sketcher Workbench to develop 2D sketches and profiles. Learners will then progress to 3D modeling, part design, and assembly creation, learning to design complex parts and manage assembly constraints. Modules on surface and sheet metal modeling provide expertise in advanced design techniques, while drafting and drawing generation introduces 2D technical documentation.
Learners will explore the CAM module to simulate the manufacturing process, generate tool paths, and create G-codes. The course covers finite element analysis (FEA) and kinematic analysis to simulate and analyze product behavior. Advanced modules include automation and scripting in CATIA, knowledge-based engineering (KBE), and collaborative PLM integration for managing product data.
The course culminates with a capstone project
